Dear Governor Christie, I voted for you because of your position on vaccines. You are a brave man not to have been influenced by the big pharmaceutical companies and in New Jersey no less! I talk to many Moms from book club, dance classes, the gym, (etc.) and was amazed to hear how many were voting for you just because of your stand on vaccines. I believe that the reason we have such a high rate of autism and chronic illness is due to too many vaccines that are given too early in a child’s life. I am grateful to you on this record decision to support us during this campaign. I was moved by your radio interview with Don Imus. You sounded more like a father who can relate to the experience of other parents, and less like a politician merely spouting off just for votes. I want to learn more about how you plan to make this issue one of your Administration’s top priorities. I appreciate the fact that we will have input with the Health Commissioner. I wonder what your plans will be for engaging the legislature in a discussion of the issues and concerns related to vaccination choice. How do you plan to give parents a seat at the table? I look forward to watching these developments and finally having a choice with vaccines. Laura Hellander 52 Stratford Drive Freehold, New Jersey 07728 |
